We priced aura mat™ at $444 intentionally. The number reflects a lineage principle we honor: fair artisan wages, authentic and honest herb processing, energy work by trained practitioners, thorough FDA verification, and a robust giving program. It’s not markup, it’s a commitment.
Unlike mass-market mats that use PVC, TPU, or glued foam, aura mat™ are built from artisanal natural cotton and jute fibers and only all natural plant-based dyes. The durability comes from ancient sacred geometrical weaving techniques, not petrochemicals, which changes the lifecycle and your experience of the Yoga & Meditation rug or mat.
Natural cotton and jute materials sustainably sourced
True Ayurvedic plant derived grip treatment
No microplastics, no petrochemical coatings

aura mat™ is part of an Ayurvastra textile tradition, where Dosha creating herbs are infused into cloth using ancestral dyeing and curing methods.
These are botanical processes with documented safety and centuries of continuity, not industrial chemical shortcuts. In fact tie-dye comes from Ayurvastra and you can see that in our documentary Woven in Wisdom.

The table below clarifies functional and ethical differences between aura mat™ and generic foam mats so you can compare concrete factors rather than price alone.
This table is designed to help you see beyond surface features and price tags.
Each row represents a real-world consideration that affects your body, your practice, and the long-term value of your mat—including materials, chemical exposure, craftsmanship, energetic preparation, lifespan, and social impact.
Rather than asking “Which mat is cheapest?”, this table invites a deeper question:
What am I placing my body, breath, and nervous system on—day after day?
How to use the table effectively:
1. Start with Material & Toxins if you practice regularly or are sensitive to chemicals.
2. Review Crafting Method & Durability to understand true cost over time, not just upfront price.
3. Look at Energy Work & Dosha Alignment if your practice includes meditation, ritual, or subtle awareness.
4. Use Social Impact to see where your purchase circulates care—into factories, or into living communities.
The differences here are not about branding.
They reflect fundamentally different philosophies:
mass production vs. lineage craftsmanship,
fitness accessory vs. sacred tool,
commodity vs. companion.
This table exists so you can choose with clarity, not confusion.

Each aura mat™ is woven by authentic human artisan collectives. We document the process, from spinning to herb infusion to final inspection and pay master weavers a living wage above local averages.

As of this year, 8% of every aura mat™ sale is set aside to support long-term healing and sustainability projects aligned with our values: trauma recovery, sacred rivers, and weaving traditions. These aren’t side causes, they are part of the mat’s purpose.
Supporting childhood trauma recovery through art, story, and sacred play
The Toy Soldier Initiative is a future-facing nonprofit vision seeded by Yogi Gabriel. We have set aside 33.3% of all reserved impact funds to help launch and support programs for children suffering from complex PTSD and emotional trauma. These are children who have experienced significant loss, instability, or early adversity.
Through mindfulness, movement and meditation practices, we seek to provide safe spaces for expression, healing, and inner strength-building. Our long-term dream is to create a system of traveling workshops and community-based healing programs, rooted in Vedic wisdom, Ayurveda for children, and trauma-informed sacred arts.
We believe that spiritual tools should help the next generation, not just the one using them now. Toy Soldier is one way this mat becomes a bridge to something greater. You can make a difference and every purchase does just that. With gratitude we thank you.

Protecting the rivers that feed our bodies, spirits, and histories
Water is sacred. It is memory, mother, and movement, the life force of the Earth. We dedicate 33.3% of all impact funds to supporting projects that preserve, restore, and re-sacralize the noyyal river that is under threat due to pollution, industrialization, and cultural neglect.
In India, these funds will help support community-led river cleanups, spiritual awareness education, and traditional ceremonies to re-establish the relationship between people and the rivers as living deities.
In the Americas, funds will be directed toward watershed education, youth programs centered on ecological literacy, and supporting Indigenous-led water protector initiatives.
To weave with herbs and plants, we must protect the waters they come from. This is not just ecological, it is spiritual, relational, and necessary.

Empowering artisans and preserving the sacred thread of cultural memory
Weaving is a sacred act. Every strand carries story, breath, memory, and medicine. Yet around the world, traditional weavers are struggling, underpaid, under-recognized, and aging out of their lineages without the next generation to follow.
We’ve committed 33.3% of all reserved impact funds to uplift the artisans behind each aura mat™. This includes increasing their wages to fair and dignified levels, providing safe and healthy work environments, and investing in mentorship programs to train young people in the sacred art of Ayurvedic weaving.
We believe that cultural continuity is a form of resistance, a way to honor the ancestors while shaping a future rooted in balance and beauty.
Every mat supports this vision by helping to make weaving a viable and honorable path for the youth who carry the future of this knowledge.
When you buy a mat, you’re not just receiving a product. You are becoming a patron of an ancient lineage.

A brief, personal note from Yogi Gabriel about the origin of aura mats™, the decision to honor lineage, and why price is part of stewardship rather than profiteering. This letter closes with a simple signature and a quiet invitation to go deeper into the story.
We also invite you to watch the documentary Gabriel and his daughter produced, Woven in Wisdom - A story about the Magic Carpet and Ancient Wisdom of Ayurvastra

Dear Spiritual Practitioner,
I didn’t set out to create a yoga mat. Others that make that claim are also not responsible for this style of spiritual tool. I found it while trying to heal. These ancient tools, made under the science of Ayurvastra, have been here and are our birth right.
Years ago, I was chronically ill. After surgery, I experienced a profound kundalini awakening that eventually led me into Kundalini Yoga. In that practice, my teacher spoke about something I had never considered before: the way fabrics affect the aura and the nervous system.
At the time, I was spending most of my life in bed. I began to sense that the materials around me, especially where I slept, were holding energy that wasn’t supporting my healing. So I did something simple and intuitive: I built a traditional rope bed by hand.
As I tied the ropes, I naturally dyed them with turmeric and indigo, not knowing that these same colors are the traditional Ayurvedic bookends for Vata and Kapha. As the bed came together, I realized the ropes themselves formed sacred geometry, creating balance and tension in a way that felt alive. That moment changed everything.
I began asking a deeper question: If textiles affect the body and energy this much, did Ayurveda already have yoga mats designed for this purpose? The answer was yes.
These mats already existed. They weren’t invented by modern brands, they were rediscovered. Handwoven Ayurvedic yoga mats, created as energetic tools, designed to support the subtle body, the nervous system, and spiritual practice.
Through years of practice and testing, we observed that these mats expand the aura four to five times, sometimes more. Not in a fantasy sense, but in the way ancient traditions describe astral travel, meditation, and the movement of consciousness.
The “magic carpet” was never about flying somewhere physically. It was always about the spiritual body. That journey and the lineage behind it, is shared in our documentary, Woven in Wisdom, featuring respected Ayurvedic teachers such as Dr. Vasant Lad who brought Ayurveda from India to the west. Spiritual and Yogic leaders who speak to the power of these textiles and the science behind them.
It is a deep honor for me to serve as a conduit for this wisdom. I invite you to learn more, to feel for yourself, and to step into a practice that is rooted not in trends, but in truth.
Just be love, believe and breathe,
Yogi Gabriel

aura mat™ is not designed to compete with yoga mats on the market. It exists in a completely different category. This is the only Ayurvedic yoga mat prescribed to your specific dosha (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) and intentionally craeated as a spiritual tool rather than a fitness accessory.
It is also the only mat we are aware of that has demonstrated measurable energetic effects, including documented aura expansion, and that is willing to publicly stand behind those results. No other mat offers this level of energetic integrity, transparency, or lineage-based intention.
This mat was not created to follow a trend or build a brand. It was rediscovered to preserve a heritage, the ancient science of Ayurvedic textiles and their effect on the subtle body, meditation, and consciousness.
There are many yoga mats available at every price point. If you are simply looking for a surface to exercise on, there are plenty of options. If you are seeking a sacred tool to support your nervous system, your energy field, and your spiritual practice, aura mat™ represents the highest standard we currently know.
In life, value follows intention. This price reflects the depth, authenticity, and purpose behind the mat, not just what it is made of, but what it is made for and the effect you can feel on your spiritual body and consciousnous.
Each aura mat™ is designed using Ayurvedic principles to align with your unique constitution, known as your doshas (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha).
Alignment is achieved by adjusting herbal concentration in the mat. No other brand or product on the market is Authentic Ayurveda and comes in Vata Pitta Kapha, not yet!
Our free Dosha Quiz helps match you to the right mat based on your personal answers, so your magic carpet supports you energetically, not just physically, the way the rishi's and saint's have practiced for lifetimes. This is Royal, Raja.
This is not just a color preference, it's a personalized tool for balance.
Ayurvastra is the ancient Ayurvedic science of healing through textiles. Herbs are infused directly into natural fibers so the fabric itself carries medicinal and energetic qualities. This tradition has been practiced in India for thousands of years and is designed to support balance in the body, nervous system, and subtle energy field through daily contact with the skin.
aura mat™ follows this original lineage, not a modern interpretation or trend.
Aura expansion is measured using FDA‑approved bioenergetic scanning technology, old fashion dowsing rods and occasionally when the area is not large enough to measure, we utilize pendulums that reads changes in the human energy field before and after contact with the mat. In repeated testing, aura mat™ consistently shows a 4-5x expansion in the bio-field, and in some cases more, depending on the individual and the dosha alignment or other Spiritual Tools such as our ancient Mala's which have shown to add 150-200+' to the human energy body or AURA.
This process and its results are documented in the film Woven in Wisdom.
The Authentic Ayurvedic Magic Carpets are infused with traditional Ayurvedic herbs, including turmeric, red sandalwood, tulsi, neem, indigo and other herbs all selected for their grounding, cooling, or activating properties depending on the dosha. These herbs are prepared using time‑honored methods so their qualities remain active within the fibers rather than simply coloring the fabric. If the color is bright, it's most likely not authentic.
No synthetic dyes or chemical treatments are used.
aura mat™ Authentic Ayurvedic Magic Carpets are handwoven using traditional sacred geometrical weaving techniques such as 369. The process allows for intentional spacing, breathability, and precise alignment that machines cannot replicate. Hand weaving is also essential for preserving the energetic integrity of the textile and respecting the cultural lineage from which these mats originate.
If the mat, rug or other is thicker, more than 6 alignment bars, or a sacred geometrical pattern woven into it, it is most likely not the authentic version and has been updated to increase product sales for profit.
Most orders ship within 2–3 business days. Because these mats are hand‑finished and carefully packed, occasional delays may occur during high‑volume periods. We believe the integrity of the process matters more than speed, and we appreciate your patience.
You will receive tracking information once your mat ships.
Because aura mat™ is considered personal energetic tools, we encourage customers to choose thoughtfully using the Dosha Quiz and educational resources provided. If your mat arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it.
If you have questions before purchasing, our team is happy to guide you to the right choice. It is very, very rare that anyone wants to return thier magic carpet once they connect with the ancient wisdom of natural textiles.
